Existing Tankless Replacement
The starting replacement price applies when the existing location and surrounding systems are compatible and serviceable. We reconnect compatible existing venting where appropriate. Required changes to venting, utility connections or the piping arrangement are identified during the evaluation and included in your final quote.
A conversion also includes up to 10 total linear feet of manufacturer-approved intake and exhaust piping combined with standard fittings and approved terminations. Venting materials, sizing and routing must suit the selected equipment and installation.  For exterior installation, an exterior Cap for intake and exhaust can be installed.

What Your Tankless Installation Includes
Our standard installation includes the equipment, connections and testing described below. We confirm the work required for your home and provide your complete flat-rate price before installation begins.
Equipment & Mounting
Selected professional-grade, high-efficiency condensing tankless water heater, removal and disposal of the existing heater, and installation in the same approved location with standard wall mounting.
Water Piping & Service Valves
Up to 10 total feet of ¾-inch Type L copper water piping and standard fittings near the heater, tankless isolation and service valves, and an expansion tank where required.
Gas & Electrical Connections
A new approved gas connector and sediment trap, connection to an existing properly sized gas supply, and connection to suitable existing electrical outlet near the installation.
Condensate & Installation Materials
A condensate neutralizer where applicable, up to 10 feet of ¾-inch PVC condensate piping to an approved nearby gravity-drainage point.
Startup & Testing
Startup, programming and complete performance testing to confirm proper system operation.
Cleanup & Guidance
Jobsite cleanup and a review of your new water heater’s operation and maintenance requirements.
Built-In Recirculation Upgrade — Add $500
Choose a compatible Navien NPE-A2 or Noritz NRCR model with an internal recirculation pump.
We recommend the appropriate model based on your home’s hot-water demand and plumbing configuration. Final upgrade pricing depends on the selected equipment and connection requirements.
Want Hot Water Sooner?
Recirculation improves hot-water delivery to your fixtures. It does not replace proper water-heater sizing.
A tankless water heater with a properly configured recirculation system can reduce hot-water waiting time and the water wasted while waiting.
Homes With a Dedicated Return Line
The internal pump may connect to an existing compatible recirculation return line.
Homes Without a Dedicated Return Line
Some homes can use a compatible crossover kit that returns water through the existing cold-water piping. A crossover system can temporarily warm water in the cold-water line during circulation.

Crossover Kit — $225 Installed
With purchase and installation of a new recirculation-equipped water heater.Â
How We Confirm the Right Size
Bathroom count gives you a helpful starting point. We confirm the right capacity by looking at how your household uses hot water and what your system needs to deliver.
You do not need to choose a model yourself. We confirm the appropriate capacity and explain our recommendation before installation.

Your Hot-Water Demand
We review shower flow rates, fixtures you may use at the same time and your household’s hot-water habits. Large bathtubs and high-flow fixtures also affect the recommendation.

Incoming Water Temperature
We consider the temperature of the water entering your home and your desired hot-water temperature. The amount of heating required affects how much hot water a tankless unit can deliver at one time.

The Right System for Your Home
We consider your demand, water temperatures and any existing or planned recirculation before recommending equipment. Unusually high simultaneous demand may require additional equipment or a different system design.
